Recent Purchases (MAC & Urban Decay)

I've got a few new beauties to show you guys. I accumulated a few items over Christmas and from using gift cards and Christmas money. MAC came out with like a billion collections, but I only got a lipstick and mineralized skin finnish. I also picked up a couple of other lipsticks and with a gift card I got an Urban Decay fillable palette. Lip swatches are coming soon.

MAC Holiday Haul! Feat the Fabulousness & Glamourdaze Collections

I was SOOO excited when I received the event invite in the mail! By far the cutest invite I've received. It was hard to pick what I wanted from these collections because there wasn't a lot of information about them when I went to the event and everything was so cute! But here are my picks.

MAC x Marilyn Monroe Picks

I had to get some stuff from this collection! I love Marilyn! I had to call and buy my stuff over the phone and pick it up later since I knew it was gonna be crazy at the store. I'm glad I did cuz when I got there they told me every thing had sold out!

Long Overdue London Haul...

I was in London over the Christmas break for a Study Abroad trip. I was there studying the 3 different Olympics that London has had and will have (1908, 1948, & 2012).  I had a blast. Best time of my life for sure. I can't wait to go abroad again.

MAC Haul! (Shop & Vera Collections +More!)

My most recent purchases from MAC are AMAZING! So pleased with what I got! The Shop, Cook, and Vera collections all came out on one day. I bought stuff from both the Shop and Vera collections. Lots of bright colors always gets me interested.

Sephora Mini Haul

Watts Up is Benefit's new highlighter and I must say that I'm a fan. It's so pretty! And way more practical that High Beam.  This highlighter is a champagne color with soft shimmer. It glides on so nicely and you can blend it out with the fuzzy tip on the end.

Most Recent MAC Purchases

The picture of the actual lipstick didn't want to upload. :/ But this is Fusion Pink. It's an Amplified finish. It's a very reddy pink. The color is a little darker in person.

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette!

As you can see, the packaging is VERY luxe! I'm a girl that loves her fancy things! The velvet box holding the palette is so soft and can be used for jewelry or to hold something else. The thing that I dislike the most about the packaging is that it is extremely prone to fingerprints. I HATE that, but it's really the only downside to this palette that I see. The little corner that is open in the palette allows you to lift up the shadows and use it as another container (or a secret hiding place). The design around the edge and the jeweled "UD" are super cute, too.

Kat Von D True Romance Palette in Truth

I got this palette because it was on sale on Sephora.com. I thought it would be nice because of my green eyes. The pigmentation is a little off on some of the colors. Also, the staying power on a couple is really weak as well. The colors together are really unique and worth a shot if you like those colors. I still need to test it more before I would recommend it to anyone. So we shall see...

Too Faced Eye Love Palette

This palette was a 500 point perk at Sephora. Since they haven't had the best perks lately, I decided to jump all over this. It also came with a mini Shadow Insurance. The palette is made up of 2 shadows from each of the Too Faced palettes until that point. (Naked Eye, Natural Eye, Smokey Eye, and Romantic Eye) The shadows in the Smokey Eye section are from the old Smokey Eye palette, not the one I have. This palette is nice to have just as a back up to the others. Or if you want a palette that gives you 4 or more different looks. But just as with all of the other Too Faced palettes, the quality is very nice.

Too Faced Natural Eye Palette

This is my oldest Too Faced palette that's why they have so much more use than the other ones. This is a very good palette to have in your collection. There are a couple colors that are dupes for some in the UD Naked palette. This one is a little thicker than the others because it came with a double ended brush thingy. I really liked having the angled brush with the palette because it made using the dark colors as eyeliner much easier. The only color that I am not a fan of is Nude Beach. It's a pretty color, but the glitter falls out and gets all over your face. Also, the Fashion eye look card picture didn't turn out so it is missing.

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette

I wanted this palette because I have green eyes and I thought that it would be perfect for me. One thing that I didn't realize is that this palette is mostly matte colors and I'm not really into that. However, this palette does contain one of my favorite highlight color in Soulmates. It's super soft and just amazing. This is probably my least favorite of my 4 Too Faced palettes surprisingly enough. But I still use it from time to time.

Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette

I was really excited to see that Too Faced was redoing their Smokey Eye Palette because their first one was a little too goth for me. The Too Faced palettes are great for beginners or for girls that want a quick grab n go look. These colors are really gorgeous and good quality. Plus the direction cards make it simple for the girls that don't know where to start. I would recommend these to anyone. Worth every penny.

Lorac Time to Shine Palette

 My Paradise Cheek Powder

My camera does this no justice, but it is a gorgeous orange blush with a gold overspray. The gold is much more thick than others in the past.

 Sun Blonde Eye Shadow

 Swell Baby Eye Shadow

Swell Baby is more pigmented than it appears in this picture. Both shadows are wonderful colors. Grays & yellows are probably my favorite eye shadow colors so I had to get these. They were definite gaps in my collection.

 Surf the Ocean Crushed Metal Pigment Stack

I fell so deep in love with these immediately! I will never pass on a crushed metal pigment stack again! They are so amazingly pigmented and smooth! They all have an awesome shimmer to them. I was so impressed with these ones that I went back the next day and bought the other pigment stack.

 Summer Stash Crushed Metal Pigment Stack

These more neutral colors are going to come in handy on a more every day basis. They are just so pretty! They swatch so well that it almost made my mouth water. hahaha

 Blue Noon Powerpoint Pencil

This is my first Powerpoint pencil. It's very smooth and such a nice color. It's great on the lower lash line.

 Good Lovin' Lipglass

This is a great everyday lip gloss. It would go great over any color. There are very fine shimmers in it that you can see in the right light.

 Hibiscus Lipstick

I love this color! I have a few colors similar to this, but nothing that's exactly the same. Cremesheens are probably my favorite lipsticks by MAC. This color is like Vegas Volt and Toxic Tale had a baby.

Overall, I loved the pigment stacks the most. If you pick up anything from this collection I would recommend the Surf the Ocean pigment stack and the Hibiscus lipstick.

MAC Extra Charged Big Bounce Shadow

I've heard pretty much only negative things about this product, but I wanted to try it any way. I love the color. It goes on pretty sheer, but it can be built up. It takes a little while to dry, but not too long. I can't wait to use this under a color like MAC's Humid. I wouldn't use this by itself because it is very sheer and kind of looks weird alone. So pretty much this will be a base for me. My overall impression is that it shouldn't be called a shadow, but maybe like a paint.

Trip to MAC

I got Ever Hip lipstick from the new collection. I also picked up a Big Bounce shadow in Extra Charged (even though I've heard negative things about these). I just wanted to try one. I picked a green one because I have green eyes and I thought it would be a pretty base. I also picked up the Select Cover Up because I've been looking for a concealer that I'll actually like. I haven't ever had one that was really what I wanted. I'm shade NW15. Swatches coming soon!
